I live in Boston with my husband and two children and numerous creatures. I am a statistician by trade, and I'm working on a phd in epidemiology. I lived in Zurich, Switzerland for a year. My son was born a few weeks after we moved there -- there is nothing quite like giving birth while in the middle of an international move, especially when you can't speak the language. I have written for many years with a few small press publications here and there. I also sculpt original mixed media dolls. I like to call them shabti because this emphasizes to me that they are companions and not some abstract concept. Sculpture sounds so cold, and dolls sound so barbie.
